I have always felt that language is an art form in itself and I like to curate words to accompany each of my illustrations. I choose quotes that have inspired the illustration or reflect my intention.

Each of my illustrations has its own story, as does my art journey.

Collected below are the words that have inspired and guided me:

"Just create to create. Create to remind yourself you're still alive. Create to learn a bit more about yourself." - Frederick Terral

"Draw the art you want to see." - Austin Kleon

"Something is always born of excess. Great art was born of great terror, great loneliness, great inhibitions, instabilities, and it always balances them." - Anais Nin

"To invent your own life's meaning is not easy, but it's still allowed, and I think you'll be happier for the trouble." - Bill Watterson

"Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing - and keeping the unknown always beyond you." - Georgia O'Keefe

"To be nobody but yourself in a world that is doing its best to make you somebody else, is to fight the hardest battle you are ever going to fight. Never stop." - E.E. Cummings

"What you are will show, ultimately. Start now, everyday, becoming, in your actions, your regular actions, what you would like to become in the bigger scheme of things." - Anna Deavere Smith
